The Colonel Sherod Hunter Camp 1525, Sons of Confederate Veterans, is very pleased to announce a limited engagement by the H.L. HUNLEY MOBILE EXHIBIT, which will be coming here all the way from it’s home in South Carolina. The exhibit consists of a 40 foot long, life-size, 100% accurate working reconstruction of the famous Confederate submarine C.S.S. H.L. HUNLEY, which was the first submarine in world history to ever sink an enemy warship in combat. We are also pleased to be able to offer a lecture by Holton Cutler and John Dangerfield, two members of the archaelogical and conservation team which opened up and excavated the HUNLEY when it was recovered from it’s resting place in Charleston Harbor. This promises to be a very interesting, informative, and exciting event for all War between the States enthusiasts!
